Recent Fine Art Relocation by Elliott

Here are some examples of Fine Art Relocation we have handled recently, showcasing our expertise in managing unique and complex projects:

Bronwyn Katz Pieces Moved From Johannesburg to White Cube, UK

Bronwyn Katz, renowned for her use of salvaged materials like bedsprings, pot scourers, and wire, required a custom solution for her delicate works. Our team carefully pre-built solid crates lined with foam to accommodate each piece. Each artwork was meticulously covered with wax paper before being securely crated to ensure safe transit across continents. Each item was crated separately, reflecting our attention to detail in preserving the integrity of her intricate creations.

Tapestry for De Beers Group Moved From Botswana to London

We were entrusted with relocating a valuable tapestry for the De Beers Group from Botswana to London. The delicate textile was carefully removed, laid between protective sheets of white paper, and rolled to prevent creasing. The rolled tapestry was then placed in a specially crafted crate and transported to Johannesburg before being airfreighted to London. Our team followed strict care guidelines, including the use of acid-free materials and ensuring the tapestry was stored horizontally for long-term protection.

The Slave Bell Moved From Cape Town Iziko Museum to Frankfurt

Moving a historical artefact like the Slave Bell required exceptional precision. The bell, housed in a glass case, needed to be safely transported from the Iziko Museum in Cape Town to Frankfurt. Using specialised suction pullers, we carefully lifted the glass casing without causing damage. The bell was then suspended in a custom-built crate, secured with white paper, poly chips, and wooden beams to ensure it remained stable throughout the journey. This move exemplified our expertise in handling culturally significant and fragile items.
